Open Mind – Peer Support Group
Our Peer Support group runs every Wednesday afternoon from 1pm to 4:30pm at our resource centre on Havelock Street. This is a relaxed and informal group where you can meet with like minded people to socialise and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. There is a peer support worker facilitating the group who can offer a friendly ear should you need further support. People who access our Peer Support Group feel empowered in the recovery journey, have improved confidence and self-esteem and a more positive sense of identity.
As part of the Open Mind services we also run a Bring & Share lunch on the first Wednesday of each month from 12.30 – 1.30pm.
Our Open Mind service is funded by profits from our Charity Shop so the service is free to access, however if you wish to make a donation to help us keep this service running it would be greatly appreciated. (Click here to make a donation)
