Leave a Legacy
Imagine a future where everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets the support they need and the respect they deserve.
Make a gift in your Will and help make this a reality. Because no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.
A legacy or bequest is the only donation that just about anyone can make. It is often the greatest donation that anyone does make. A gift in your Will to support Wellingborough Mind will benefit our work immediately and can make a lasting contribution for generations to come.
Your Will is very personal, and we strongly advise you to consult your legal advisor before drafting a new will or updating an existing one. We are always happy to discuss your wishes and intentions but we are unable to offer direct legal or financial advice on Will making or estate planning.
If you do decide to donate to Wellingborough Mind through your Will, then you can choose to give a percentage of your estate or a specific amount. Your solicitor or other legal advisor will help you draft your Will but a suggestion for the wording might be:
- A share of your estate “I give (insert percentage) of the residuary estate to Wellingborough Mind (registered charity number 1068151), 14 Havelock Street, Wellingborough, NN8 4QA, to be applied for it’s general purposes. I declare that the receipt of the finance director or the appropriate officer shall be a complete discharge to my trustees.”
- A cash sum “I give £(in figures and words) to Wellingborough Mind(registered charity number 1068151), 14 Havelock Street, Wellingborough, NN8 4QA, to be used for its general purposes. I declare that the receipt of the finance director or the appropriate officer shall be a complete discharge to my trustees.”
Already have a Will?
If you have a Will you can amend it by adding a codicil, a separate document that is kept with your Will. You can download a codicil form below. Don’t write anything on your Will itself, as this could invalidate it.
